Excel provides our coaches and trainers with skill advancement clinics on a monthly basis. We pride ourselves on continuous learning so we can provide the best training and coaching to our student-athletes. Additionally, we also believe that the most effective way to get the results that you want is to emphasize the “right” things.

Excel Training Classes

Shooting Classes

Excel focuses on teaching the correct shooting techniques/mechanics. Our philosophy focuses on having the proper mind frame and shooting speed to transfer that skill to the game.

Footwork Classes

Excel focuses on this key component of the game of basketball that is often missed. Knowing and understanding when to use your jab/pump fakes series. This class focuses on properly using your pivot to create space and an advantage over your defender.

Ball Handling Classes

The class focuses on an hour of ball handling drills. The class includes passing and catching, but mainly focuses on ball control, good balance and the progress of moves and techniques it will take to execute this skill set in the game.

Speed & Agility Classes

Excel is proud to add this essential class to our core training curriculum. The class focuses on foot speed, jumping, lateral movement and more.

At Excel our belief is sport and competition at the highest level demonstrates the best characteristics – hard work, perseverance, teamwork, commitment and self-discipline.  At Excel, your student athlete will be challenged and pushed to develop consistency and excellence in all areas of life.   Excel program tenets such as goal setting, group and individualized training, (mental, physical, on the court, nutrition and leadership), proper coaching and curriculum instruction will garner exceptional results that help our students athletes learn and grow daily in their lives.

Ultimately, our goal is helping our student athletes reach their potential by teaching, training engaging in competitive tournament play, and a commitment to continual improvement. At the end of the day, it’s the transfer of skills to the court during tournament play – training is the homework and the game is the test; we want your student athlete to perform well on the test.

Speed & Agility Plus

Excel has a more intense program for those student/athletes that want to accelerate their focus on speed and agility. This class is not sport specific. Please call for a pricing/professional evaluation and a schedule of times offered.

Core & Strength

This is a supplemental class that will help increase strength and core. The class is not sport specific. Please call for a pricing/professional evaluation and a schedule of times offered.

Personal Training

Excel offers top level personal instruction. some techniques require and are accelerated through one-on-one instruction attention. Personal training can be used by any level of player.

Specialty Clinic

Excel offers a series of advanced specialty clinics e.g. Advance ball handling and attack moves, advance shooting and many other clinics that feature the moves of several NBA stars. 

Shooting Machine

Improve shooting accuracy by getting the proper repetitions.
Get approximately 300 shots in 30 minute workout.

VertiMax

 Reach your athletic potential with Vertimax sports specification training. Train for your position in your sport and become the best athlete you can be. There will be a initial evaluation and a monthly progress report

 

Basketball- Increase Functional Strength, Improve Speed & Explosive First Step Quickness, Maximize Vertical Jump Gains

Soccer- Increase speed and power, foot coordination. Train exact movements that are performed on the pitch to become more of a threat athletically.

Volleyball- Increase vertical leap, defensive speed to create explosive and dominate hitters and blockers.

Baseball- Improve leg, arm and hip rotation speed and power to increase hitting distance and throwing speed. Improve speed to become quicker at stealing bases and  a better outfielder!

Football- Increase vertical, explosion and power of cuts, lateral , backpedal and straight ahead speed + quickness.
